Hi Folks, Happy New Year to all! It’s been a long time since I wrote a newsletter. I hope everyone had a great year!
It keeps getting harder to find the time to sit down and write this newsletter.
It has been an even busier year than ever! I had my two oldest Grandsons have college graduations,
and one of them also got married! It made for such a happy year!
This past year has also been my busiest year ever for my music! It is because of people like you that have been enjoying my music and singing! I have to say “Thank You” to all of the businesses that have called on me to come play for them!
I am still playing for Supper Clubs, Restaurants, Resorts, Music in the Parks, Over 95 different Assistant Living and Senior Centers, Wedding receptions. Anniversary parties, Church picnics, Private parties, and .many other functions spread all over the U.P. of Michigan, all of Wisconsin and even back to the Chicago Area where I was raised!
I still continue to work on new music and my singing! And I still love playing a lot of the old American standards (MY Favorites), Country, Jazz, Some big band Swing, some blues, Pop and some Rock. Music from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s,70’s, 80’s. So you may hear music from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Englebert Humperdink, Andy Williams, Paul Anka, Bobby Vinton, Bobby Darin, Michael Bublé, Ray Price, Jimmy Buffet, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Glenn Campbell, the Platters, Neil Diamond, Elvis and more!
Some of the highlights of the year! I have been playing 7 years now for the Garmish USA Resort in Cable Wisconsin, for their “Christmas tree lighting Celebration! This is held the first night after Thanksgiving every year! It seems like the whole town comes to sing Christmas songs and countdown to light the huge Christmas tree! I will be returning again for 2020!
I have added some really superb Supper Clubs that have asked me to play for them! The Blue Heron Supper Club at the Wild Eagle Lodge in Eagle River Wisconsin. The Catch 22 Charhouse also in Eagle River Wisconsin! I have been playing also at the New Minocquca Prime Supper Club In Minocquca Wisconsin! And I have been asked to come back to play this year at the Twilight Supper Club near Land O Lakes Wisconsin! Thank You to these great owner’s for having me!
I also played last year for the Rhinelander Country Club Dinners once a month!
Thanks to John and everyone there for having me all summer!
I also have to give big thank you to Sue and Avi Vazquez owners of Little Joe’s Italian Restuarante and Pizza in Frankfort, New Lenox and Tinley Park Illinois! They have me back once or twice a year, every year now for the last four years! It’s always great to go back home to see friends, family old neighbors, and always a big group of people that I knew all the way from Kindergarten through High School, and others that used to come to listen to me play when I lived in Chicago!
One of the biggest blessings was two years ago a guy came to Catch 22 Charhouse in Eagle River Wi. To hear me play! He was a trumpet player! I was getting ready to play for Octoberfest! He said he would like to play along with me! I never heard him play before! He said he played in the US Army band and was first trumpet! He played the Glenn Miller music! He played a few songs with me and we never played together before! We ended up playing for one and a half hours! Took a break and played for another one and a half hours! We have been asked back together to play for Octoberfest for two years now! We now have done this show, this past year for all the supper clubs I play for! Thank You Dennis Switlick, we had fun and will be playing more this year!
I have been in talks with many other restuarants and other places! So please keep checking this website and the “Itinerary” page to see where I will be playing this year!
And as always, “I hope to see you Somewhere, Someplace, Sometime, Soon!”
